14-Year-Old Cyclist Suffers Accident in Santa Fe

In the south of the city of Santa Fe, a 14-year-old cyclist was struck by a car, ending up embedded in the vehicle's windshield. The young man was rescued by firefighters and transported to a hospital with injuries that, fortunately, are not life-threatening.

The incident took place at the intersection of Perón and Iturraspe avenues, in the Barranquitas neighborhood of the Santa Fe capital. The cyclist was thrown off his bike upon impact and ended up embedded in the shattered windshield of a white Renault Clio. The exact causes of the accident have not yet been clarified.

The teenager was admitted to the “Dr. Orlando Alassia” Children's Hospital with a fractured tibia and fibula, as well as several abrasions and cuts caused by the glass. Despite the seriousness of the situation, he is out of danger. Medical personnel had to work quickly to remove the young man from the glass.

At the accident scene, in addition to the cyclist, there was a man, the driver of the Renault Clio, whose identity has not been revealed. The 6th Police Station intervened at the scene due to the severity of the incident, while the Zapadores Firefighters assisted in the rescue of the young cyclist. Despite the dramatic nature of the accident, it has been confirmed that both the cyclist and the driver of the car are alive.
